A Day In the Life...
Hi, my name is Brie. I'm a Junior Elementary Education major and Theatre minor at the University of Portland. When people tell you 'college is the best time of your life,' they are competely right. After graduating from Kamiak High School in the Spring of 2002, I met the most amazing guy! We were both in the cast of "FAME: The Musical" at the Everett Village Theatre that Summer. We were falling in love, doing what we love...it was perfect. :) I have also found my passion in working with children while at school and enjoy every day student teaching. Although there are always bumps in the road, life truly is a fairy tale. Hop on the carriage and enjoy the ride...

Once A Theatre Junkie, Always A Theatre Junkie!
Even as a baby I was a ham. From gymnastics to my first musical in 4th grade, my parents knew they were in for a performer from the beginning. The Tony's were playing in the hospital the day I was born, and the only that shut me up those first few months was watching Mary Lou Retton compete in the Summer Olympics. Some of my more recent theatre expeditions have been playing Cinderella in the ever-so-cheesy Rodgers and Hammerstein musical last year; the love interest swan in "Honk!", the ditzy blonde maiden in Shakespeare's "The Winter's Tale", and a Jewish prisoner at Aushwitz in Arthur Miller's "Playing for Time" at the U of P; and currently Assistant Directing "Into the Woods" at the Carco Theatre in Renton. Who knows what's next...
Constantly On the Move!
In the past couple years, I have moved around quite a few times. My first dabble in the moving experience was the intial transition between home to dorm room two years ago. When living in an eight story tower of females with a drunken roommate proved not to be my scene, I did a complete 180 and moved in to a shack with 4 boys and a dog. The location was great being directly across the street from the university, but the mess, couch in the front yard, and mold proved too much for this slightly-girly girl, I moved out. Entering my third year of college, I am finally in a place I want to be. I'm living in a duplex with two super fun girls who I know will make my remaining time in Portland a blast.
Hope to have pictures of our newly remodeled house soon...
